Thesis Collection
My senior thesis is a collection of couture style gowns that are inspired by Eastern State Penitentiary. As a textile designer I will also be designing the prints that will be shown in my collections. For anyone who has seen the inside of this beautiful building, you know that it's walls (and all surfaces for that matter) are covered in deteriorating paint, exposing the rich brick coloring and earthy neutral tones. Take a look at my inspiration and stay tuned for more updates as I continue to work on my collection!

Initial Sketches
Some initial sketches for my collection. You can see the caging details on the bandeau bodice to reflect the bars of the cells and gold round head studs to mimic the bolts that hold the cell bars together!
Second level designs! To give you an even better feel of the clothing and the fabrics, there are some of the sketches that I'll be illustrating to show to our industry Critic, Frank Agostino, on October 16th.
Textiles
Here's some of my beginning work on the textile design for the collection! I want this textile to give the feel of the paint chipping off of the walls of Eastern State!
My Supporters
Of course nothing that I do would be possible without the help of the people around me. In this section I would like to send out an enormous thanks to all of the people who have helped me along the way!
